Ramadan is a time for reflection, charity, and unity. Recognizing the importance of food security during this spiritual month, SMWS organizes its Ramadan Food Project to distribute food packages to underprivileged families. The food hampers typically contain essentials such as flour, rice, lentils, cooking oil, and dates—ensuring that families can prepare wholesome meals to break their fasts.
The primary goal of the Ramadan Food Project was to assist families in need by providing them with food parcels sufficient for the entire month of Ramadan. The effort focused on bringing relief to underprivileged households and contributing to the welfare of the community.

A critical aspect of the project was the acquisition of the necessary food items. The society procured staple food supplies such as rice, flour, sugar, oil, lentils, dates, and other essential commodities. These items were carefully selected to meet the nutritional needs of the beneficiaries, ensuring that the parcels provided a balanced diet for the entire month.

Volunteers played a key role in the success of the project. A dedicated team was mobilized to handle various tasks, from packaging food parcels to distributing them among the selected families. These volunteers were briefed about their roles and responsibilities, ensuring efficient and organized execution of the project.

In order to ensure that the food reached those who truly needed it, the society collaborated with local Masjid Imams and village councils. This partnership helped in identifying deserving families, with priority given to households led by widows and orphaned children. This thorough selection process ensured fairness and transparency, targeting those most in need.

The project also involved inviting distinguished guests, including community leaders, philanthropists, and local dignitaries, to the event. Their presence helped to raise awareness about the welfare society’s efforts and reinforced the importance of supporting the underprivileged.

The distribution event was the culmination of the Ramadan Food Project. Each selected family received a parcel packed with essential food items. These parcels were designed to last the entire month of Ramadan, ensuring that no family went hungry during this spiritually significant time. Volunteers, under the guidance of the welfare society, ensured a smooth and respectful distribution process.
